The Piano Teacher

I know it can be a little all over the place on this here blog. I have a lot of interests and while it would be more consistent if I devoted myself to one topic, I just can't do it. Today I'm reveling in and celebrating my first true love: reading. Sure, I love cooking and fashion, followed by an intense need to decorate our house in a comfy, cozy and colorful way, but at the end of the day it is the written word that gets me all jacked up.

I've touched on book club many a time. Voting by committee has been an excellent way to read new books, genres and authors. Sometimes they are bombs, other times they are books I feel compelled to share with my mom, mother-in-law and sisters-in-law. This month's selection is one of the good ones. I've been stretching it out so I can savor reading it. The author really creates the scene and feeling of Hong Kong during WWII. So, my recommendation today is The Piano Teacher.
