Food This Week

Is there a new way to say busy? I had a peanut butter bagel for dinner four nights in a row. I'm just sayin'.

Last night I made Bucatini All'amatriciana and broccoli with garlic and chile (NR) roasted in the oven. The broccoli was really good, just don't skip the lemon juice at the end. It makes a necessary balance to the roasted, crunchiness of the broccoli.

We have friends coming into town for the night, so at some point in the next 24 hours I'm going to bake a honey vanilla poundcake from the Barefoot Contessa for my new baking recipe. The recipe isn't online and I don't have the cookbook it is from. I found it on a blog and I'm hoping it is right!
