I have a couple of pureed soup recipes that call for using a food mill. So far I've gotten by with using my mesh colander like these. But, I have to say the colander method of pressing solids is time consuming. It sometimes stops me from making some recipes because I don't want to bother. On the other side, I hate useless kitchen objects.
Any thoughts? Are food mills worth it?
